Super Nutrition for Radiant Skin and Radiant Health

Many of you who have followed EAA from the beginning know that the birth of EAA came from my desire to have the same optimal wholesomeness in my skin care as I had in my diet. I am constantly amazed by the ingredients list I see on most brands of skin care. It doesn’t matter if you have amazing ingredients in your skin care line, if just one ingredient is considered toxic on any level.

Amla Indian Gooseberry

Because of my nutrition background I became aware of many ingredients that had remarkable effects on the skin, taken both internally and topically. Anything you take internally will affect the skin and vice versa. I have a few products that I would like to introduce you to, that I have recently incorporated into my daily wellness protocol.

Supplements For Skin Health

1. Amla

Scientifically referenced as Phyllanthus emblica, or Indian Gooseberry, has a deep history in Ayurvedic medicine. The chemical composition of the fruits contains high amounts of ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Its bitter taste may be derived from a high density of tannins that contribute many health benefits.

Amla has been known for centuries as a food for health and longevity. Hundreds of scientific studies have shown it as a superfood, and it is a well celebrated medicinal food in Indian culture. Because of its very high content of natural vitamin C, it is known to address a myriad of health concerns. It is a very potent antioxidant, which helps the body naturally fight free radical damage, and is one of the richest natural sources of ascorbic acid. Continuing studies of Amla have shown it may be effective in addressing cardiovascular issues, improved liver function, lowering LDL cholesterol, immune system support, digestive support, support of blood sugar levels, detoxification, and many more benefits.

I like to take Amla in a complex in an Ayurvedic formulation.

2. Shilajeet Mumiyo

The second product I take daily is Shilajeet Mumiyo. Shilajeet is a mineral rich pitch that is found in mountainous regions, and is known to be an elixir for vitality. Shilajeet is the result of the breakdown of plant materials and is formed over centuries by the decomposition of plants and microorganisms. It is rich in humic and fulvic acid.

Shilajeet Mumiyo

I became aware of humic and fulvic acids and their remarkable ability to detox our cells, while supplying the perfect combination of vitamins and minerals, years ago when I attended a lecture hosted by Dr. Tennant. Dr Tennant, in an attempt to address a healing crisis, came to understand the crucial component of the electrical system of the body, and keeping cellular voltage high.

At this lecture, a guest of Dr. Tennant, Dr. CareyLyn Carter, through her own healing crisis, was led to the miraculous substances of humic and fulvic acid, and was able to heal herself of a life threatening disease. An excerpt from her bio says a lot:

“As a seasoned scientist and biochemist, CareyLyn immersed herself in research, learning about the potential benefits, new discoveries, and all the clinical case studies done on what she now refers to as “The Gift from Mother Earth.” Her intuition told her she was on the right path, so she set herself on a quest to find the highest quality humic and fulvic deposits. Once she began taking the product and experienced results that astounded her, she knew she had a responsibility to share this with the world.”

Real Change Comes Slowly

I would suggest that if you do try these powerful nutritionals, that you go slowly with them in the beginning, especially the humic and fulvic acids. They are powerful detoxifiers and can have adverse effects if you take too much in the beginning. There are many sources for these powerful healing substances, please do your due diligence and find reputable companies selling these unique substances.
