How To Safely Exfoliate With Organic Products

A Daily Skincare Ritual; Transforming Your Skin To Glowing Radiance

What could be better than intensely hydrated skin that appears clear, plump and glowing? Self-care skin care rituals done consistently, are worth your time no question. Those of you who spend the time daily to do a few simple steps will benefit with younger looking skin. I highly recommend a spa like skin care protocol.

To get that glowing skin, we focus on gentle exfoliation. Exfoliation is a transformative part of your skincare ritual that goes beyond simple surface cleansing, offering a profound way to renew and revitalize your skin's natural radiance. By gently removing dead skin cells, organic exfoliation helps unclog pores, stimulate cell turnover, and enhance the skin's ability to absorb nutrients.

When using skincare that focuses on natural, organic (skin food!) ingredients, you're not just removing impurities, but also treating your skin to the pure, intelligent essence of those plant materials–that work in harmony with your body's own healing mechanisms. The use of organic ingredients ensures that you're avoiding harsh chemicals and synthetic additives, instead embracing nature's own gentle yet powerful skin-renewing properties. This mindful approach to exfoliation supports the skin's natural balance, promoting a clearer, brighter complexion while respecting the delicate ecosystem of your body's largest organ.

RADIANCE with flower petals

Dry flower petals, the main constituent of RADIANCE scrub, work as a gentle exfoliant due to their delicate, yet naturally textured structure. Flowers such as rose petal, comfrey, and chamomile contain fine, lightweight particles that provide mild physical exfoliation without the harshness of synthetic scrubs. Their naturally dried state creates micro-abrasive surfaces that softly remove dead skin cells, promoting cellular turnover while simultaneously delivering botanical nutrients.

Unlike harsh chemical or synthetic exfoliants, flower petals are rich in natural compounds that can soothe and nurture the skin during the exfoliation process. The irregular, soft edges of dried petals help to gently buff away dead skin without causing micro-tears or irritation, making them an ideal choice for sensitive skin types seeking a natural, holistic approach to skin renewal.

Begin with cleansing

Rinse with warm water to moisten the skin. Use 1 dropper of NECTAR and just a few drops of LUSTER mixed in the palm of your hand until well incorporated and warmed. Starting at the chest move the oil up toward the neck and onto the face in a sweeping action until the entire face is covered. Use broad sweeping movements to work the oil into the skin. Massage for at least one minute. Rinse with warm water.

Put ½ pump of LUSTER in the palm of the hand massage it well into the face and chest. Massage for at least one minute. Rinse very well.

Follow our cleansing protocol for a deeper clean, as needed.

Next step is light skin exfoliation

Please don’t miss this step! After the age of 30 skin cell turnover slows significantly. Dead skin cells accumulate on the outer layer of the skin and appear as rough and dry. If you don't exfoliate regularly, dead skin cells accumulate, leading to dull, uneven skin tone, clogged pores, and potentially breakouts, ingrown hairs, and a rough texture.

Of all the steps exfoliation has a most profound effect. In formulation RADIANCE, I have used herbs that have a detoxifying and healing effect on the skin, coupled with a gentle clay. Rhassoul mineral clay is used to improve the clarity of the skin, by removing dead skin layers, and detoxifying the skin. You will be able to visually see how it clears clogged pores and minimizes pour size. Daily skin exfoliation with a very gentle non-abrasive product like RADIANCE can make a drastic difference of skin texture and suppleness. Because of the gentle nature of this scrub, it's even safe for sensitive skin conditions, but please test a small patch of skin before proceeding.

Use ½ teaspoon of RADIANCE powder mixed with ½ pump of LUSTER and 2-3 drops of NECTAR mixed into a paste with a few drops of water. Massage gently into a moistened face. Use circular massaging motions focusing on areas where you have enlarged pores (around the nose and chin) and avoiding gentle skin areas around the eyes. I recommend this massage for at least 2 minutes. You can let the RADIANCE dry on the skin before rinsing well for a more profound detox.

The herbal components used in RADIANCE contribute to its effectiveness:

Next use LUMINOUS as a deeply hydrating mask

LUMINOUS can be used a few times a week. I recommend leaving this mask on for as long as possible enabling the nourishing honey and herbs to penetrate into the skin.

The star of LUMINOUS is honey! Honey has been used to assist the rapid healing of damaged skin tissue, and for its ability to hydrate the skin. Honey has antimicrobial properties which are thought to be due to its enzymatic release of hydrogen peroxide from the application on honey on the skin. Honey is a powerhouse of nutrition, it contains all of the B-complex, A, C, D, E and K vitamins, minerals and trace minerals. The live enzyme content of honey is one of the highest of all foods. Honey has natural antioxidant properties that are protective to the skin when applied topically. Research shows that honey is able to protect the skin from sun damage and is naturally antimicrobial

The last step in your daily self-care for your skin is applying LUSH

LUSH is a very concentrated, powerfully healing product, formulated to balance, tone, and protect young skin, while supplying topically what is needed to support collagen production, and moisture in aging skin. We love this lightweight moisturizer for its uncanny ability to absorb into the surface without leaving a greasy or sticky feeling. Use as both a day and night cream to naturally balance combination skin, help heal blemishes, and reduce redness.

All of our products are concentrated with nothing in the ingredients that are not active on the skin in some way, including throw away ingredients like water. Because they are concentrated, you need a small amount, about the size of a large pea, for your face and neck. I like to blend into LUSH, 1 drop of NECTAR and 3 sprays of HYDRATE mixed together in the palm of my hand before applying to my face. Don’t forget to apply this mixture onto the neck and chest. Many only focus on the face and forget that then neck and chest areas are in need of our TLC as well.

If you wish to use sunscreen, I recommend a powder application containing physical sunscreens over chemical sunscreens. Powders can be mixed into LUSH and applied as you would a foundation with SPF.

You and your skin are worth this twice daily practice. No matter your age, now is the time to make a radical commitment to clean, vibrant, and well nourished skin. You will be amazed by difference in your skins appearance.
