THE ALCHEMY OF ESSENTIAL OIL PERFUMES

Essential oils are, by their very nature, alchemical. The extraction of the vital essence of plant materials for the purpose of their elixiorative substances, extends deep into ancient history.

These alchemical solutions contain very complex molecules that contain in their very essence, healing properties. It is well known that essential oils have remarkable effects on the body organs, the skin, the mood via the limbic system (a complex system of nerves and networks in the brain, involving several areas near the edge of the cortex concerned with instinct and mood), and all other systems of the body. Essential oils are some of the most concentrated natural plant medicines used; as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, hormone balancing, agents.

Essential oils are very profound substances. They are complex harmonies of hundreds or even thousands of different chemicals. Their highly potent constitution makes them powerfully attuned and they can behave as chemical messengers, capable of unlocking the receptor sites of cells, and, communicating with our cellular intelligence at the level of the DNA. To quote David Stewart PhD, “… even though inanimate, creation does not speak in words, its voice resounds everywhere, to be heard and understood by the spiritually attuned.“
